Welcome to the National Council of Farmer Cooperatives

63rd Cooperative Information Fair

The purpose of the NCFC Cooperative Information Fair is to provide a forum for cooperatives to have their communications efforts critiqued by professors from the journalism and mass communications school of a major university. First, Second and Third place awards are given in each of the 36 categories, which include publications and writing entries, marketing, advertising and communications campaigns, photography, radio and tv advertising, and video and new media. Honorable Mentions are also sometimes designated. Certificates are provided for each of these awards. A "Best in Cooperative Communications" award is given to the one entry the judges feel best illustrates how cooperatives can effectively promote business, inform members, and disseminate information to the public.

Below are links for the 2008 Cooperative Information Fair Rules and Classifications brochure, and entry forms. The deadline for entries is September 30, 2008. Fair judges will provide entrants with a numerical and written evaluation of their communication efforts. Winning entries will be displayed at the National Council of Farmer Cooperatives Annual Meeting, to held February 4-6 at the Westin Maui Resort in Hawaii. The Best in Cooperative Communications Award will be presented during the Annual Meeting.

Entry fees will be the same as previous years. Video and New Media entries -- $40.00 members; $80.00 non-members per entry. All other classes -- $25.00 members; $50.00 non-members.

We look forward to receiving your entries for 2008 -- GOOD LUCK TO ONE AND ALL!!
