2013 Annual Meeting
NCFC’s 84th Annual Meeting will be held at the beautiful Westin Kierland Hotel in Phoenix, Ariz. from February 6 to 8, 2013.
We are working to build on the successful meetings of the past few years to deliver you a program that addresses those timely, important issues facing your co-ops in today’s business and political environments. From the future of farm policy to the turmoil caused by the drought to the impact on co-ops of efforts to reign in the federal deficit, 2013 will certainly be a busy year for all of us.
Based on feedback from previous meetings and in an effort to ensure the best use of your time, we are introducing several changes to the schedule this year:
- A new Government Affairs Committee Conference, including Subcommittee Meetings, will take place on Wednesday, February 6.
- The Directors Education Conference has been expanded, and will begin on Wednesday afternoon with a session running from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM for all directors; previously, this session was geared only to new directors and first-time meeting attendees.
- The NCFC Education Foundation Golf Tournament has been moved to Friday afternoon to allow more meeting attendees to participate in the event and support the work of the Foundation.
We hope these changes will allow a greater focus on issues that impact you and your farmer-owners.
The Legal, Tax & Accounting Conference will take place February 7 and 8, and sessions will focus on ongoing antitrust litigation impacting farmer co-ops and the potential impacts of future tax reform efforts in Congress.
As always, the Annual Meeting will give you opportunities to network with your fellow farmer co-op leaders, including at the Cooperators Reception sponsored by CoBank and Nationwide.
