NCFC’s mission is to advance the business and policy interests of America’s cooperatives and other farmer-owned enterprises.
In fulfilling this mission, NCFC upholds four core values. These are:
Washington, D.C. (May 22, 2013)—The National Council of Farmer Cooperatives (NCFC) today expressed its strong opposition to Senate Amendment 925 to the farm bill (S. 954) being debated on the Senate floor today. The amendment, offered by Senator Jeanne Shaheen (D-N.H.), would change, and effectively dismantle, current federal policies with regards to sugar.

NCFC's new campaign, "Farmer Co-ops: Providing for America", seeks to tell the tremedous success story of farmer cooperatives and the vital role they play in the food and agriculture sector. For over 100 years, co-ops have been the valued partner of farmers in every corner of the country; they have been a cornerstone of the rural economy; and they have provided American consumers with a wide range of innovative products.
