81st NCFC Annual MeetingFess Parker's Doubletree ResortSanta Barbara, CAFebruary 3-5, 2010(mail or fax in) NCFC's 2010 Annual Meeting is being held February 3-5, 2010 at the beautiful Fess Parker's Doubletree Resort in Santa Barbara, CA. The issues facing cooperatives in the coming year include new challenges to the Capper-Volstead Act; coping with the impact of the recession and turbulent commodity markets; and deciphering how a raft of new federal legislation--from climate change to food safety to healthcare and pensions--will impact your businesses. These issues, among others, will be the topics for many of our sessions at the meeting. This year sees the continued growth of our Directors Conference which provides cooperative directors with an in depth look at issues important to their cooperatives. In addition, our highly regarded Board Chairman Roundtable will again be held. Of course, our Legal, Tax & Accounting program will focus on recent tax and legal decisions that affect farmer co-ops. As always, NCFC's Annual Meeting will offer plenty of time for social events to connect with old friends and industry leaders; these events include the Third Annual Cooperators Reception sponsored by Nationwide and CoBank.
