NCFC Statement on Mark Keenum Nomination for Under Secretary of Agriculture |

The National Council of Farmer Cooperatives would like to commend President Bush and Secretary of Agriculture Johanns for nominating Mark Everett Keenum to be the next Under Secretary of Agriculture for Farm and Foreign Agricultural Services, and to be a member of the Board of Directors of the Commodity Credit Corporation.
"Dr. Keenum brings valuable experience and a unique perspective to this position that reflects his extensive academic and public policy background. He also understands the importance of agriculture when it comes to rural America and our nation’s overall economy. We hope the Senate will expedite consideration of his nomination and we look forward to working with him."
